The ideal of continuous development is one of the characteristics of human beings. Human beings affect every area in their life where they feel the need to change. Human activities have continued over the centuries and have influenced the different professions in which it plays a role. Within these professions, 'archive, library, information centers, etc.' there are different buildings. The 'library' sector is also positively affected and carries its services to the future with each passing day. The 'philosophy of continuous development' in academic libraries shows its strengths. The main reason for the existence of academic libraries is to provide the resources the user needs. In the academic libraries, which need to determine the benefits provided to the users and the quality of the services they provide, various service quality measurement surveys and standardization studies are also carried out. In these standardization studies, 'quality manuals' are used and 'libraries' which are created in accordance with 'quality manuals' have 'quality certificates' as a result of the process. As a result of the study, various total quality management practices and standard examples applied in academic libraries were examined; considering the data obtained, emphasis was placed on 'the future of continuous development in academic libraries' and suggestions were put forward.
