Abstract
- Long-term survival rates of patients undergoing vitrectomy for diabetic retinopathy in an Australian population: A population-based audit - Response We thank Surbhi Agrawal and Chetan Videkar for their observations and comments[1] on our article, "Long-term survival rates of patients undergoing vitrectomy for diabetic retinopathy in an Australian population: A population based audit."[2] We agree that a large proportion of those with diabetes have hypertension, and that given hypertension is a significant risk factor for all-cause mortality in other populations, it would have been valuable to include it in our analyses.
