Memórias do Café e da Imigração Italiana.

The city of Ribeirão Preto, located in the State of São Paulo, like other cities in Brazil, has among its riches a strong human capital. The region was the one that had the greatest population growth between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, justified by the strong immigration coming to work on coffee plantations. In this context, the Italian Memory House is, a family house whose history is associated with Italian immigration and the coffee period. This article aims to analyze how an individual heritage becomes collective or how individual memory is transformed into a social memory. In other words, in what way is the patrimonialisation of the Italian Memory House through its spaces, objects and circuits, allows us to create forms of identification, giving them a sense of past, present and future times.
