Entertainment and impersonation with food have been the most fundamental necessities of mankind since its creation. All that three necessities food is most important one because it is first order physical need. It is understood that the culture of food is very important when it is thought that art is a reflection area of socio-cultural events. In this article, the effects of cultural eating and drinking, which is considered as a cultural event, have been tried to be examined within the scope of Western Art. In the evaluation of the process starting from the Middle Ages and continuing up to the 18th century, a chronological order based on the picture examples was not followed and attempted to make a determination and evaluation on the origin of the subjects (scenes) that are shaped and varied according to belief and socio-cultural life. From the beginning of the Middle Ages to the end of the Baroque Period, the sources that feed the art of painting have been tried to be explained through examples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
