Abstract

Highlights from the article: Studies regarding hereditary (variant) transthyretin (ATTRv) amyloidosis have mainly focused on patients with Val30Met mutation [[1]]. We examined four patients with ATTRv amyloidosis with non-Val30Met mutation (Pro24Ser, Val71Ala, Thr60Ala and Tyr114Cys) [[7]]. Both cardiac and peripheral vasomotor autonomic dysfunctions were prevalent in non-Val30Met patients, even in patients without orthostatic hypotension.
