Abstract

Objetive: Evaluate the correlation of the investment in improving the response capacity of health services establishments with neonatal obstetric functions on indicators of maternal health. Material and Methods: ecological descriptive study data being used for investments in health facilities benefited from PARSALUD II and the Comprehensive Health System. Performed Pearson correlation analysis (p<0.05). Results: Direct / strong correlation between per-capita investment and management indicator anticonvulsants in pregnant women with hypertension for the first level (r = 0.98, p=0.01), second (r=0.87, p=0.02) and both levels of care (r=0.83, p=0.03), plus direct / strong correlation between investment per capita and iron supplementation indicator folic acid in pregnant the first level attention (r=0.56, p= 0.001). Conclusions: The correlation of some indicators of the health care process of them other (administration of anticonvulsants and iron-folic acid in pregnant women) to investment per capita.
