Abstract

This study aims to identify quality of life at work (QWL) of individuals belonging to generation Y. For this, an adaptation of the Walton Model (1973) was applied in a sample of students of the higher education course of Management of a university located in the Granary Region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Thus, first a theoretical review of the topic is presented and, afterwards, the description of the profile of the interviewees and the results of the analysis of the information collected are elucidated. It is concluded that the following factors of quality of life at work are relevant for generation Y: 1° - Social relevance; 2° - Social Integration in the Organization; 3° - Conditions of Work and Safety; 4° - Work and Total Living Space; 5th - Constitutionalism: rights and duties; 6° - Utilization and Development of Capacities; 7th - Opportunity for Growth and Security and; 8° - Fair and Adequate Compensation.
