Abstract

The Women's Suffrage Project was funded by Cabinet Office to help young people understand the history of democracy and to encourage them to use their own democratic voice. Through a remarkable database detailing over 3,000 individuals, it brings to life the ordinary people who campaigned for the right to vote - both through peaceful means and through more militant methods [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
