Abstract
- The brachiopod fauna of the Chalonnes Limestone (Armorican Massif, France) is famous because of the presence of large, thick-shelled species first described by Oehlert (1881). One of these species originally assigned to Pentamerus davyi Oehlert, 1881 is here revised. External as well as internal characters of the shell allow its attribution to Zdimir robustus (Barrande, 1879), a species from the Trebotov Limestone in the Prague area. This reassignment is consistent with an Upper Emsian age for the Chalonnes Limestone. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
