Abstract

Nuclear science has contributed significantly to the many kind of sciences like nuclear medicine in tumor therapy and environmental, chemistry biology and geosciences. Its uses in radiotherapy depends on the ability of the therapy system to concentrate the quantity (dose) of radiation on the target region (tumor). Ideally, a lethal while minimizing the irradiation of healthy adjacent tissues. In this study, the mass stopping power and range of heavy ions in Brain Tissue of human with energy interval (0.025- 1000) MeV were done using (SRIM 2013, Casp 5.2, PASS 4.2) programs, also the Range and stopping time were calculated by using Matlab language.
