Abstract

The article discusses a study that introduces a method to measure vertical hydraulic conductivity (Kv) via gravity flow that can be done in the field or laboratory using freshly collected saturated core samples. Highlights include testing of Hv with the cylinder in any orientation, schematic equipment setup and parameters used to calculate Kv from gravity drainage tests, and cumulative flow volume versus time and other parameters used to calculate Kv from gravity drainage tests.
