Abstract

The article describes the case of congenital esophageal stenosis (CES) secondary to a congenital muscular ring in a 17-month-old baby boy with chronic solid food refusal. Topics covered include differential diagnosis toward CES, risk of perforation in endoscopic dilation and surgical interventions and outcome of the robotic-assisted thoracoscopic esophageal myotomy with endoscopic guidance.
