Abstract

The article discusses how DNA damage corrects the aberrant cytoplasmic localisation of nucleophosmin in NPM1 mutated acute myeloid leukaemia. Topics include how nucleophosmin (NPM1) is an abundant phosphoprotein involved in multiple cellular functions and its gene (NPM1) is the most commonly mutated gene in acute myeloid leukaemia.
