Abstract

Brazil's Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) inserts undergraduate students, in their first teacher's training, in the school environment, allowing them to have first-hand experience in its daily routine. It makes real the desire of creating a school-university partnership. In addition to enhancing future teachers' didactical-pedagogic training, it is a unique opportunity for developing both area-specific and interdisciplinary projects which, well planned and implemented, promote Brazil's school system, specially State-sponsored. This paper aims at making known PIBID'S work, specifically in Linguistics and Literature fields, developed in the last 8 years by a federal university from Brazil south region with its undergraduates and public schools, having as a focus, at this moment, the inception of the project's implementing.
