Abstract

Presents research which correlated the physical and magnetic microstructure of magnetite nanocrystals in magnetotactic bacteria. Use of off-axis electron holography in the transmission electron microscope; Single magnetic domains; Magnetization directions; Shape anisotropy; Coercive field for one chain.
