Abstract
- The article focuses on the impact the patentability of advancement of biotechnology and medical innovation in the U.S. Topics discussed include development of the modern patent statute and the inconsistent judicial treatment of the eligible subject matter requirement; use of Mayo Collaborative Services v. Prometheus Laboratories, Inc. and Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank International court case test on patent eligibility; and enactment of Patent Act of 1952 for addressing patent issues in the ocuntry.
