Abstract

In order to apply the optical electric field sensor technology to the degradation research of insulator, a new type of optical sensing detection system based on Pockels effect is designed to solve the problem that the existing low-quality insulators need contact detection with power failure and are affected by temperature and humidity to a large extent. The new system enables the advantages including online detection without contact, handy operation, high accuracy and high efficiency. By simulation and experimental analysis, The feasibility of the designed system is verified. The results show that the optical field sensing detection system can realize the non-contact detection of the insulator degradation under high pressure environment, which is of great significance to solve the non-contact detection problem of the insulator under high pressure.
