Abstract: The article offers information on the importance of the clinical guidelines in patient care and improving the patient outcomes. Topics discussed include information on the role of the clinical guidelines in clinical decision making and service commissioning; discussions on the construction and ratification of guideline statements; and the information on the role of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology in the guideline development process.
