The article discusses a study which examined the appropriateness and effectiveness of the use of adjustable compression devices (ACD) in the management of chronic oedema and lipoedema. Topics covered include the benefits of ACD, such as higher static stiffness index, situations where ACD can offer an alternative to compression hosiery and bandaging, and key aspects that can affect treatment outcomes and long-term management.
