- The article focuses on the early evolution of marine planktonic and nektonic ecosystems of the Ordovician period, discussing the rise and early evolution of plankton and nekton. It reports that early plankton includes graptolites, chitinozoans and radiolarians. It focuses on the marine organisms early forms, biographic migrations and origination timing.
