Abstract
- The article presents a news brief on the mineral industry in the U.S. and Canada. Eldorado Gold has begun production at its gold mine in Val-d'Or, Quebec. Freeport-McMoRan has commenced prospecting drilling at Lone Star project in Arizona. Rio Tinto plans to use renewable energy electric power at its Kennecott Utah Copper operation in Utah.
