Abstract
- The article reports on a study conducted by assistant professor Vikram R. Bhargava on the "ethics of blame" related to high-profile incidents of public outrage incited by social media. Of particular interest is given to the response of employers to offending individuals by terminating their employment. Bhargava's study emphasizes how social media has changed the ethical landscape, suggesting that an individual's dismissal for poor off-duty conduct could be an inappropriate act of blame.
