Abstract
- The article focuses on role of structural genomic variants in adaptive evolution and species diversification with single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs). It mentions comparison of different kind of structural variants in the genome to bioinformatic approaches that can be used to characterize structural variants, experimental approaches that test the role of structural variants in adaptation. It also mentions structural variants offer important sources of genetic fuel for evolutionary processes.
