ANAPHORA AS A MEANS OF ACHIEVING COHESION OF THE TEXT.

The paper aims at addressing the phenomenon of anaphora and anaphoric reference with relevant examples of texts in Albanian language. After giving a brief overview of the development of Text Linguistics, we focus on the analysis of the concepts of anaphora and coreference, the distinction of anaphora from the textual deixis, as well as anaphoric types according to their reference identity, of meaning and form and anaphoric ellipse.
