It is proposed to consider the application of Concept Maps tool in the field of Digital Information and Knowledge Management enabling the development of management skills of computing professionals who deal with the Management of Digital Information. It explores the concept maps as an important tool to represent the set of inter-relationships of the knowledge management matrix. The research was based on literature on the subject, whose goals are to conceptualize what are conceptual maps, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using concept maps, structured educational program through concept maps and develop skills for the use of technological tools for the development and creation of products and information services. The results show that the use of concept maps is facilitators of the manager's job knowledge. It enables the manager or user to construct, navigate, share and criticize knowledge models represented with concept maps to optimize their work. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
