Abstract

The article explores the missed opportunities in preventing upper gastrointestinal (GI) hemorrhage. Topics include the central premise of several anticoagulation clinics which is to provide reliable and safe therapeutic anticoagulation, the risk of anticoagulated patients to GI hemorrhage and the simple strategies in addressing the patients' risk to upper GI hemorrhage.
