Abstract

B Learning Objectives: b We hypothesized that acute kidney injury (AKI) in intensive care unit (ICU) patients is associated with major adverse kidney events (MAKE). B Results: b KDIGO classified 83% of patients as non-AKI (stages 0 or 1) and 17% of patients as having AKI (stages 2 or 3). We found a significantly higher incidence of MAKE30, MAKE60, and MAKE90 among patients with AKI when compared with the non-AKI group (p<0.0001 for all time points). [Extracted from the article]
