Abstract

The article offers tips to ophthalmologists on management of cataract surgery and ocular surface disease. It cites the importance of proper screening of patients to achieve optimal ocular surface results preoperatively and postoperatively. The article suggests a Standardized Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness (SPEED) questionnaire for all cataract patients and developing a postoperative plan for patients with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).
