Abstract: This is a reporting on the occurrence of little known species of earthworm Megascolex lawsoni (Bourne, 1886), of the Family Megascolecidae for the first time from the political boundary of the State of Kerala. Specimens were collected from 12 locations within Wayanad District. So far, they have been reported from neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
