As there is drastic pressure coming from the private mobility service sector represented by players such as Moovel or Ally, German ÖPV stakeholders are forced to push forward their own efforts on multimodel travel information and services. Since advanced e-ticketing processes such as clearing and settlement play a significant part in the delivery of nationally standardized booking services, the BMVI set a clear focus on this topic within their R&D roadmap on digital connectivity in public transport.
