Abstract
- The article reports on the bid by Mauricio Macri, president of Argentina, to win his second term despite the fall of the economy into recession. The country posted a decline in the value of the peso, as well as increases in inflation and interest rates. The recession is expected to bring a change of political control. The chances of Macri to win his second term are noted.
