Abstract
- When studies are evaluated in general, the studies on values education seems to be related generally to responsibilities and duties of relevant individuals and units, the place of values in the curriculum and gains. It is understood that studies on the teaching methods and techniques focus on the purpose of using any teaching method or technique, the issues encountered, the usage and success of any teaching method or technique on teaching the subject. However, it could not be reached a detailed study about what teaching methods or techniques are more appropriate for the values education. This study was conducted to investigation of teaching methods and techniques in terms of suitability for values education in theoretical context. When studies are evaluated in general, the studies on values education seems to be related generally to responsibilities and duties of relevant individuals and units, the place of values in the curriculum and gains. This study was conducted in the framework of the qualitative research approach, and is used review study. In this context, "Principles and Methods of Teaching" textbooks written by or for the account of has been subjected to scrutiny. As a result of the study, it was determined that the lecture, outing-observation, educational games, drama, case study, discussion, problem-solving, collaborative learning approach and project-based learning methods / techniques / approaches were appropriate for values education in a theoretical context.
