Ahorro de agua con empleo de tubería flexible para el riego del arroz.

The paper presents the results of the study about water saving using flexible pipe in conditions of exploitation of a small rice irrigation system. The evaluation was carried out in a farm of Esmeralda municipality, in Camagüey province, where hydraulic and operational evaluations were made with the objective of knowing the possibilities of generalization of this technology as an alternative for the substitution of channels and the resulting saving of water. The results suggest that the technology is of easy application by the farmers and in the cooperative sector. As a result was obtained a considerable saving of water, in addition to other aspects such as the best use of the area and a better efficient distribution of the fertilizers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
