Abstract
- The Aura mission of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, to be launched on June 19, 2004, will be just the second element in a six-satellite constellation, funded by the U.S., France and Canada. The $2.3-billion constellation, dubbed the A-Train for Aqua and Aura, the engine and caboose, is expected to provide a wealth of data on the impact of water, ice, clouds, aerosols and atmospheric chemistry on weather and climate patterns, while pioneering in the area of precision formation flying.
