The text proposed here is an extended reworking of the contribution already prepared for Historiam perscrutari. Miscellaneous of studies offered to Prof. Ottorino Pasquato, LAS, Rome 2003, 673-687 with the title Linee di ecclesiologia nel pensiero di Cromazio di Aquileia. In it, the author intends to offer a synthesis of the ecclesiology of Saint Chromatius of Aquileia by retracing the texts of his works and suggesting some keys of interpretation for an adequate systematic synthesis of the theme.
