DE LA CRÍTICA A LA PRÁCTICA EN EPIDEMIOLOGÍA, A LA PRÁCTICA DE UNA EPIDEMIOLOGÍA CRÍTICA DE CONSTRUCCIÓN SOCIO-COMUNITARIA.

This work intends to contribute with the task to translate into practice the exercise of Critical Epidemiology, starting to show some of the conditions of possibility/impossibility for the construction of community-based epidemiological surveillance systems / participatory monitoring for vectors of Dengue and other arboviruses. To this end, the historical context is characterized for the democratization of the exercise of the epidemiology as a form of production of knowledge, and the participatory monitoring of health and life as a process of decolonization of knowledge, of reappropriation of the health and life by peoples. In contrast to hegemonic epidemiology related to positivism, as a tool for strengthening and sustaining the mode of capitalist production as a way of life, it is intended to show spaces of possibility, following and reinterpreting the arguments of Critical Epidemiology, where other forms of life and health may be possible.
