Abstract
- The article discusses the gross negligence manslaughter case against Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba and two nurses in the death of a six year old boy, Jack Adcock, focusing on the tension between the fitness to practise and related appeal processes. Topics discussed include the then Secretary of State for health, Jeremy Hunt having commissioned a rapid policy review in cases of gross negligence manslaughter related to health professionals.
