Abstract
- Abstract In this paper, a tunable electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) structure using coupling hybrid graphene-nanostrip is proposed. The structure comprises of a vertical graphene strip (VGS) and a pair of horizontal graphene strips (HGSs), the horizontal graphene strips placed alternately on both sides of vertical graphene strip. The EIT-like effect could be turned by changing the Fermi level of graphene instead of refabricating the geometrical parameter of structure, and the significant merits of proposed structure is distinct EIT-like effect could be observed in two perpendicular polarization directions, the influence of electron mobility on transparency windows is also analyzed. This work demonstrate a novel EIT-like phenomenon based on metamaterial and opens a new perspective in EIT effect applications. Highlights • A tunable EIT structure base on graphene is proposed. • EIT windows are observed in two perpendicular polarization directions. • Influence of electron mobility on transparency windows is analyzed.
