Abstract
- The article describes the case of a 34-year old female patient with a history of treatment-resistant depression who underwent a course of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). The patient experienced improvement in depressive symptoms following 10 right-unilateral ulrabrief ECT treatments, but marked worsening of depressed mood within one month of discontinuing ECT. She received magnetic seizure treatment and experienced remission of her depressive symptoms.
