Abstract

After selecting and reviewing 51 documents on policy coproduction published in Spanish between 2011 and 2018 with a bias towards de most recent ones in the selection, the article presents a series of observations on seven research questions: First, a literature heavily concentrated in Mexico and Spain, with several Spanish-speaking countries not represented in it. Second: a smaller than expected role for local State actors and larger than expected for security actors. Third, very few examples of co-production in areas like Health and Education that are big policy sectors. Four, very few mentions to co-production in most of the phases of the policy cycle. Five, a less theoretical literature than expected. Six, few examples of coproduction tools. Seven: a literature that is expanding at a more moderate pace than before. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
