Abstract

Acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) is a disorder usually characterized with neurosensorial retinal detachment. Glucocorticoids have critical importance in the pathogenesis of the disease. CSCR with bilateral simultaneous involvement and prominent serous retinal detachment can be observed following prolonged and high-dose corticosteroid treatment. New-onset Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease and CSCR may be presented with similar clinical manifestations. Differential diagnosis of these disorders have great clinical importance in order to avoid severe vision loss. We hereby report a patient with bilateral CSCR who has been admitted to our clinic with a preliminary diagnosis of VKH disease and discuss differential diagnosis of these entities based on clinical findings and imaging modalities [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
