Northrop Grumman to operate BACN voice and data gateway for airborne communications.

The article reports that the military communications equipment company Northrop Grumman Corp. has been assigned to operate and maintain manned and unmanned airborne communication system namely, Battlefield Airborne Communications Node and data gateway. According to an official of the company, the Node provides translator and gateway interfaces to the supported communications systems and forwards intelligence information to the Global Information Grid.
