European Union Eases Rule On Deficits for Six Entrants.

Reports that the European Union is providing a reprieve from its rule on deficits for six countries it is accepting as new members . Budget shortfalls of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Cyprus and Malta; Lawsuit filed by the European Commission against all 12 euro zone countries in the European Court of Justice for their failure to take punitive steps against France and Germany which have breached the deficit limit for three consecutive years.
