Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the contribution of anthropogenic climate change to the risk of the April-May 2017 extreme precipitation in the Uruguay River basin, which resulted to extensive flood and major socioeconomic impacts. Data and methods used in the study are described, including anomalous precipitation, Climate Prediction Center's Global Unified Precipitation data, and sea surface temperature and sea ice coverage.
