Abstract

The article focuses on the community-access Naloxone program in Rhode Island. It states that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have called for more thorough naloxone distribution and training.It comments on intranasal Naloxone formulations that laypersons can use and talks about Rhode Island's NaloxBox pilot which is supported by mini-grants from the Rhode Island Department of Health and supported by the CDC.
