Abstract
- The absorption of normally incident light by axially excited slabs of dielectric thin-film helicoidal bianisotropic media (TFHBMs) is shown to be polarization dependent, and the circular Bragg phenomenon turns out to saturate as the slab thickness increases beyond a certain value. A specific feature of absorption in the Bragg regime is reflected in the transmittances, which may be monitored for the automated production of TFHBMs. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
