Abstract

The BR0-9 Sm0-1 Fei-x ZrxO3; (BSFZO, a? =0-0.08) samples were prepared using the conventional solid state sintering method. The XRT) patterns of BR0-9 Sm0-1 Fei-x ZrxO3 could be ascribed to a rhombohedral structure having space group R3c. Structure refinement of the XRI) patterns showed that the lattice parameters were increasing with the increase of in Zri+ content. The average grain size of the samples significantly decreased with the Zr doping due to the suppressed of grain growth caused by the Zr substitution. The remnant polarization (P,.) and coercive field (E.) increased firstly and then decreased with the increasing Zr contents. For a? =0.04 sample, the Pand Ereached the maximum value. The dielectric constant decreased with the x increasing, while the leakage current was nearly unchanged. The ferromagnetic properties were enhanced by the Zr substitution. For x =0.06 sample, the residual magnetization reached the maximum. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
