Abstract

The article explores thunderstorm asthma, the sudden increase in bronchospasm following a storm during pollen seasons. Particular focus is given to the rise in primary care facilities by general practitioner (GP) visits, emergency department (ED) admissions, and hospitalizations following these events. Additional topics discussed include research on thunderstorm asthma in Australia, specifically in the city of Melbourne, and accumulating evidence-based knowledge on the subject.
