Abstract

Atrophy and sagging occured in the soft tissues under the skin in postmenopausal patients can lead to serious psychological and physical problems. In general, cosmetic surgery is used to correct abnormalities caused by physiological processes such as growth, reproduction and aging. The most commonly used aesthetic surgical procedures in postmenopausal women are facelift, mastopexy, breast reduction, liposuction, abdominoplasty and limb contour manipulation. In patients with postmenopausal age, correction of anatomical deformities with aging improves functional problems, such as neck and back pain, as well as positively affecting patients' deformity-related psychology. The comorbid conditions present in this age group are one of the qualities that must be meticulously assessed. Sufficient information should be exchanged between the physician and the patient regarding the expectation levels of the patients and the attainment of the results to be obtained. In this article, we tried to address the basic points about the surgical procedures applied in the postmenopausal period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
