Abstract

The article presents a case study of 31-year-old white male known with a factor V Leiden mutation and recurrent pulmonary embolism for which he used lifelong vitamin K antagonist. The patient underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) which confirmed myocarditis and showed increased mid-myocardial late enhancement of the lateral wall of the left ventricle. It informs that routine lipid measurement showed an extremely low high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol.
